Every day when Dr. Niazi sits at his desk and turns on his computer, there’s a new adventure into the world of medicine waiting for him. Each patient is a new opportunity for him to give the most personal and affectionate care possible. His desire to provide a one of a kind service is the essence of his passion and kindness. He has had a fair amount of success as a doctor and is an epic of resilience. His life story is one of a kind saga that has seen ups and downs, but in the end he has emerged as a successful hero of resilience. The roller-coaster of life took him to a journey of unknowns. He started his career as a prominent Neurological Surgeon in Kabul, Afghanistan. Turmoil in his native country forced him to migrate with his family to the US. Here, he faced new challenges in life on how to make a living from the scratch. Starting off as a pizza parlor worker to driving a cab just to survive, he never lost the sight of his mission as a physician. It took him almost ten years from the first step he took towards pursuing his career to become a physician. For Hayatullah, every patient is a reminder of the story of his life that he sees himself in their spot and wants to turn around their lives as he did his own. He is eager and believes that it is essential to provide lifesaving assistance and demonstrating to others and encouraging them that resilience is a road to success as it was for him. His passion to help others is not limited to clinical practice, he is also pushing himself in new direction to share and give back to the community and reach out to the disadvantaged through humanitarian relief. He is well respected and appreciated by the community. Dr. Niazi is an MD graduate from Kabul Medical University who also earned his Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner and a Physician Assistant from UC Davis with honors. He is currently working as a clinician and the Medical Director in an Urgent Care and Family Medicine clinic providing healthcare services to over 10,000 patients in his community.
SIVRRC is honored to have him as its Outreach Director and welcome his unconditional voluntary efforts to make a difference.
